About the Role
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to patients across all age groups
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate treatment plans and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance standards
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and positive healthcare outcomes
- Adhere to Mercy's Mission, Values, Service Standards, and Nursing Practice Guidelines
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or Compact RN License
- Must meet all applicable State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) (may be obtained within 30 days of hire)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach, and perform direct patient care activities

Pay
New Grad: Internal/External $5,000 sign-on bonus
