Registered Nurse (RN) Job, Part Time Nights, 24-Hours, ICU and/or Telemetry
Overview
The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized care to critically ill and high-acuity patients requiring continuous monitoring, rapid clinical assessment, and immediate intervention. This role supports stabilization, recovery, and restorative care using the nursing process in a fast-paced intensive care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
Assess physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs
Deliver emergent, supportive, and restorative interventions
Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
Identify life-threatening and unsafe situations and intervene appropriately
Evaluate and adjust care plans based on patient status
Operate and maintain patient care equipment used in critical care settings
Demonstrate accurate technical nursing skills and ICU procedural knowledge
Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
Develop and implement individualized plans of care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut required
AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification required within 3 months of hire
NVCIT certification required within 3 months of hire
