Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Maintains a safe and effective environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Makes rounds to assess patient status and ensure compliance with care plans.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Delegates patient care activities to appropriately qualified staff.
- Performs prior authorizations on tests, procedures, medications, etc. that are required by the patient's insurance.
- Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
- Assists with the orientation of new staff members.
Requirements
- A current Michigan RN license (or attain within 90 days of hire).
- An associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
- Basic Life Support certification (available upon hire).
- Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required.
Qualifications
- Experience in acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Pay
$5,000 Sign-on Bonus *Based on meeting eligibility criteria.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8-hour Day shifts
