Registered Nurse (RN) Inpatient Rehab

About the role

Sovah Danville, part of the Lifepoint Health network, is dedicated to making communities healthier. The inpatient rehabilitation (IPR) unit is a 10‑bed acute rehab floor with a typical 1:5 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, providing intensive rehabilitation for patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, strokes, surgeries, and other chronic conditions. Patients are expected to tolerate three hours of therapy per day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plan‑of‑care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Document all patient care provided.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for the patient population, adhering to Arizona State Board of Nursing and other governing agency regulations.
  • Measure health outcomes against patient‑care goals, make or recommend adjustments, and follow hospital philosophies and standards of care.
  • Coordinate delivery of patient care for the Rehab Unit, facilitate problem‑solving with staff, and communicate issues to nursing administration and the Program Manager.

Requirements

  • Active Virginia RN license (single‑state) or compact RN license; if relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence before employment begins.
  • Associate’s degree in nursing (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
  • American Heart Association ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Clinical area experience (preferred).

Pay

Sign‑on bonus: $20,000.
Hourly range: $31.49 – $42.51.

Schedule

Three 12‑hour shifts per week, 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM.
