Registered Nurse (RN), Inpatient Rehab 3B

Full-time night shift position: three 12-hour shifts with every third weekend rotation.

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) in 3B Inpatient Rehabilitation Services will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Services, Pastoral Care, Recreational Therapy, and Neuropsychology to progress patients to home. Responsibilities include knowing patients’ therapy schedules, administering medication, providing assessments, and specialized training in transferring, dressing changes, medication, and wound care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to progress patients toward discharge.
• Know patients’ therapy schedules and administer medication.
• Provide patient assessments.
• Perform specialized tasks including transferring patients, dressing changes, medication administration, and wound care.
• Exceed customer expectations by treating each patient as the only one being cared for at the time.
• Act as a calm voice for families and find answers when needed.
• Display compassion in all interactions.

Requirements

• Licensed as RN in the State of Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy.
• Ability to position and/or transfer an average adult patient.
• Gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties.
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing.
• Ability to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections.

Pay

Hourly rate: $30.23 – $48.37.

Sign-on bonus: $20,000 available.
