About the role

Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Inpatient Behavioral Health unit at Truman Medical Center. This night-shift role (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) involves providing high-quality care to patients with acute, chronic, or terminal illnesses in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on their diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care using expert clinical skills.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor nursing students.
• Maintain compliance with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and all organizational and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BCLS certification.
• For PRN positions: at least one year of medical/surgical experience OR one year of prior experience in the specialty area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent specialty degree.
• RN Specialty Certification.

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (night shift).
• Hours per week: 36.
