Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient

Responsibilities

• Administer psychosocial, physical, and behavioral assessments related to specific psychiatric/mental health conditions and provide individualized interventions based on these assessments.
• Monitor patients’ daily functioning and assist in mental health symptom management.
• Communicate with patients and families using curiosity, compassion, and active listening.
• Provide care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient’s developmental age and to the patient’s and family’s diversity.
• Track and share confidential medical and psychiatric information, verbally and in written documentation.
• Administer medications and perform interventions such as lab draws, EKG, UDS, Genesight, and HcG testing.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree (BSN preferred).
• Current licensure as an RN with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing is required.
• A purposeful, results-oriented critical thinker who can make fast, safe judgment calls in stressful situations.
• Skilled at multi-tasking, prioritizing, and communicating, in both verbal and written formats.
• Facility with basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products and EHR.
• Competency in the safe use of restraints and seclusion and effective de-escalation through collaborative problem-solving and trauma-informed practices.
• A compassionate, patient-first mindset that supports delivery of the highest standards of care.

Pay

Compensation range: $37.92 to $58.68 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Schedule

32 hours per week with AM/PM shift rotation, including every other weekend.
