Role Overview: This RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician provides specialized nursing care in oncology infusion settings, administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, antineoplastics, and targeted therapies. They work primarily in outpatient infusion centers, ensuring safe, patient-centered care that addresses biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs, while demonstrating clinical expertise and cultural awareness. Key Responsibilities Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care, involving patients and families in education and decision-making.Administer complex therapies safely, maintaining competence in chemotherapy and targeted treatments.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication and documentation to promote quality care.Act as a resource and preceptor for colleagues, supporting professional development and mentoring.Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and adherence to organizational policies and standards.Support resource management, protocol development, and continuous education to uphold high standards of oncology nursing. Qualifications & Skills Current nursing license and compliance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.Knowledge of oncology infusion therapy, including hazardous drug handling.Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.Commitment to ongoing education, specialty certification, and evidence-based practice.Ability to adapt care to diverse populations and contribute to a collaborative clinical environment.
