Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes a leadership role in providing professional nursing care to patients within the Brighton Infusion Center. Clinic responsibilities include assessment, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the continuum plan of care in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and promotes the organizational commitment to customer service.

Trinity Health’s Non-Oncology Infusion Centers in Brighton, MI, is redefining infusion therapy for patients with chronic conditions. Unlike traditional hospital-based infusion bays or oncology-focused centers, our facilities specialize exclusively in non-oncology services, offering a modern, calming environment designed to reduce anxiety and prioritize patient comfort.

About the Role

Part-Time, non-benefited position scheduled two 8 hour shifts weekly. M - F Days, No Weekends, No Holidays, No On Call.

Responsibilities

  • Absorbs and assesses patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan.
  • Interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
  • Provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
  • Patient served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).

Requirements

  • Current Michigan Nursing License
  • Graduation from accredited nursing program: Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Three or more years of infusion experience, or similar (ED, IV Access) preferred.

Qualifications

  • Current Michigan Nursing License
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required, or willing to obtain within five (5) years from date of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Three or more years of infusion experience, or similar (ED, IV Access) preferred.

Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care protocols
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems
