About the role
The Excelcare at the Pinesis is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead their infection control and prevention program within their skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Ensure facility compliance with policies, procedures, and state regulations
- Conduct audits and review EMAR reports for medication compliance
- Perform resident assessments and monitor wound care practices
- Provide training and clinical support to staff
- Participate in care conferences and quality improvement
- Review incident reports to ensure proper documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- Valid RN or LPN License in the state of IP Certification required or willing to obtain
- 3 years of management experience, including experience in long-term care
- Current, unencumbered, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey
- General knowledge of professional basic nursing, restorative, and personal care services
