REGISTERED NURSE (RN) IN HOUSE CONTRACT NIGHT SHIFTS

About the role

AMG Specialty Hospital - Lafayette is seeking an In House Contract Registered Nurse (RN) for Night Shifts.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians, CCO/co-workers about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
• Handle patients with medical conditions such as Respiratory Failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula.
• Manage sedation/pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management for these patients.
• Treat complicated infections with long-term IV antibiotics.
• Tackle chronic non-healing wounds with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure.
• ICU, Critical Care or Step-Down experience is preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
