The ICU at Waukesha Memorial Hospital is a 24-bed, multi-specialty unit that includes cardiovascular, neuro-surgical, medical respiratory, sepsis, drug overdoses, suicide attempts, and various surgical and trauma cases. This unit is part of the hospital's commitment to providing high-quality care to adult and some pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Delivers competent care using a systematic approach guided by clinical experience and theoretical knowledge.
- Provides professional nursing care within clinical areas/campuses as required by staffing matrices.
- Supervises and directs delegated nursing acts based on the educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse License.
- Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse demonstrates a mastery of most technical skills and views clinical situations from a patient and family focus. They are competent practitioners who integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families.

Schedule
This position is a 0.6 FTE commitment to 24 hours per week of 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730). The candidate must work every third weekend and alternating holidays.
