About the role

Per diem shifts available for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU or Telemetry in Halifax, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care in an acute-care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions and responses to treatments.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control standards and patient safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge instructions.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active Virginia RN license.
• At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months).
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on assignments.
