About the role
Wythe County Community Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its 6‑bed ICU. Responsibilities
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate quality‑improvement (QI) assessments.
- Float to various clinical areas where qualified and competent.
Requirements
- Active Virginia RN license (single‑state) or compact license; if relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence before employment begins.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 90 days of hire.
- Handle with Care certification required within one year of hire.
