About the role
Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in their 18-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a 1:2/3 nurse to patient ratio. The ICU is newly opened and staffed with RNs and CNAs. The role involves working in a rotating 3x12 schedule (7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Performs timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments
Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Accredited nursing school degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- 1-2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred
