Registered Nurse (RN) - (ICU)

Job Type: Full-time | Variable 12-hour shifts and 2 weekends per month with major holidays. Up to $20,000 bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios.

Requirements

• Current state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Two years of acute care experience or one year of cardiac unit experience or greater than six months current employment as RN in a Critical Care Unit.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Current ACLS certification, Basic Dysrhythmia Course, Critical Care Course, or acquire within 6 months of employment.
• Trauma Nurse Course current or acquire within 1 year.
• PALS certification current or acquire within 2 years.
• CCRN preferred.
