About the role

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patient from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the critical care setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor, and positive role model for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in all procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents related to critical care.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patient from admission to the department through discharge or transfer.
  • Serves as a patient-care innovator, shaping exceptional patient journeys every day and leveraging skills and cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
  • Acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor, and positive role model for assistive personnel.
  • Knowledgeable in all procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents related to critical care.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • ACLS required within six months of hire
  • ICU experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN
  • Experience in critical care
  • Previous experience with IntraAortic Balloon Pump, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy
  • CCTR certification
