About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide exceptional patient care in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, including medication administration, clinical treatments, and documentation.
- Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist with activities of daily living and provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate across disciplines for care coordination, transfers, discharges, and psychosocial support.
- Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Tennessee or a compact state.
- Associate's degree in nursing; BSN preferred.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Handle With Care, and Basic Arrhythmia within specified periods.
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, and thrive in stressful situations.
- One year of experience preferred.
