About the role
Seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for ongoing night shift work in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
- Serving as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit needs
- Educating patients and families on health and disease management
- Administering medications safely and supporting effective resource utilization
- Ensuring compliance with practice standards, regulations, and policies
- Participating in quality improvement, peer review, and shared governance initiatives
- Mentoring new staff and students, and performing charge nurse duties when assigned
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and continuing education
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- Current New York State RN license; CCRN and certifications like ACLS/PALS preferred
- Compassionate, team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to patient-centered care
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and professionalism
Work Environment
Fast-paced clinical setting with frequent movement, exposure to disinfectants, PPE use, and serving all age groups. No supervisory staff required.
