Registered Nurse, RN- Hospice, Per Diem

About the role

BAYADA Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Linwood, NJ office. This role services hospice clients on a per-visit basis in Atlantic and Cape May counties, with a regular per diem weekly schedule.

As a hospice nurse, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team providing palliative care to clients, enabling them to receive medical care at home. Prior home care and/or hospice experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, procedures, and comfort care.
• Monitoring clients' conditions and reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
• Performing client assessments as necessary.
• Occasional on-call shifts after hours and/or weekends.

Requirements

• A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in NJ.
• A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned.

Pay

Base pay: $43–$45 per hour, depending on qualifications and subject to negotiation.
