About the role
Straight Nights | 12 hour shifts | every 3rd weekend
Responsibilities
- Develops a nursing diagnosis; establishes nursing care objectives; defines nursing interventions.
- Provides physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
- Notes changing conditions and needs; re-evaluates care objectives.
- Reviews physician prescriptions; communicates the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team.
- Coordinates with other healthcare providers; provides physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends; confers with physicians.
- Obtains medical histories; examines patients; documents patient physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors.
- Confers with family and friends; develops a nursing diagnosis; establishes nursing care objectives; defines nursing interventions, schedules, and timetables.
- Establishes patient care goals; instructs patient, family, and friends to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answers questions; provides information and resources.
- Adheres to therapeutic standards; measures health outcomes against patient care standards; reviews patient records; notes changing conditions and needs; re-evaluates care objectives; modifies nursing care plan.
- Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Adheres to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerts others regarding potential concerns.
- Charts in patient and department records.
- Follows operating instructions and established procedures for patient care equipment; troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventive maintenance; calls for repairs.
- Checks stock; anticipates needs; places and expedites orders; verifies receipt; stocks items.
- Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing.
- An active license in the state of practice upon hire.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $32.50 – $48.50 per hour; actual pay rate dependent upon experience.
