Registered Nurse, RN- Hospice, Full time

This position is based in the BAYADA Hospice office in Rutland, VT, and serves hospice clients on a per-visit basis in Addison and Rutland counties (Rutland, Pittsford, Pittsfield, Killington).

About the role

As a hospice nurse (RN), you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides palliative care to clients, enabling them to receive the medical care required to remain at home. BAYADA is committed to investing in people and nurturing their desire to grow.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Perform assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, procedures, and comfort care.
• Monitor clients' conditions; report changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders.
• Perform client assessments as necessary.
• Occasional on-call shifts after hours and/or weekends.

Requirements

• A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont.
• A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned.

Pay

Base pay: $42–$48 per hour, depending on qualifications and subject to negotiation.
