Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice Float

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered end-of-life care in an inpatient setting, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Collect and document comprehensive health data, develop and evaluate individualized care plans, and prioritize care activities.
• Offer emotional and clinical support to patients and families during terminal phases.
• Supervise and guide Hospice Aides/HHAs, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, documentation, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Act as a resource and role model for staff, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and community partners.
• Maintain current knowledge of hospice nursing practices and pursue ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Active RN license through the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• AHA BLS Provider certification.
• Reliable transportation.
