Position Type: PRN • Coverage Area: Loveland and surrounding

Pay

$85,000 – $102,000 per year (paid on a per-point basis; the range shown is an estimate of annual compensation).

Responsibilities

  • Assess the status of nursing needs of assigned patients and manage the patient’s care plan from admission through discharge.
  • Complete initial patient assessment upon admission, including appropriate patient history.
  • Select appropriate nursing diagnosis.
  • Assess all medicines to identify possible ineffective drug therapy, adverse reactions, significant side effects, drug allergies, and contraindicated medications.
  • Establish realistic, measurable, observable goals consistent with the patient’s diagnosis.
  • Inform the physician of the results of the assessment and recommended clinical interventions.
  • Implement appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the patient’s diagnosis and established goals, within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Re-evaluate patients' nursing and other clinical needs as required.
  • Document and submit assessment, progress, and discharge notes and other required paperwork in a timely fashion as required by the agency.
  • Inform the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient’s condition and needs.
  • Direct staff nurses, LPNs, and CHHAs in delivering the individual patient’s plan of care.
  • Identify interdisciplinary needs and coordinate allied health clinicians.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as an RN.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
