Registered Nurse / RN Heart & Lung

Responsibilities

• Delegated the autonomous authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties.
• Provide direct patient care and assist providers in delivering world-class medical care.
• Lead other clinical staff members.
• Nursing practice must comply with current standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients according to established protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Collect, record, and report objective and subjective data on patient health status.
• Timely and accurately document all patient interactions.
• Schedule surgeries, imaging, lab work, and manage pre-authorization for procedures or testing.
• Triage and follow up on test results and communicate with providers as needed.
• Communicate and interact positively and supportively with all customers including patients, visitors, co-workers, administrative staff, and physicians.
• Demonstrate efficiency and dependability with assigned job responsibilities and assist other staff members as needed.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
• Commitment to the team problem-solving approach using a patient-focused model.
