Registered Nurse RN Heart and Vascular SDU

About the role

Saint Alphonsus Health System, Idaho’s only hospital system recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Large Employers for 2025, is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Heart and Vascular Step-Down unit at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions
• Work with patients who have spent time in our CVICU and who have stabilized to transition to this unit
• Use expertise, compassion, and commitment to patient-centered care to make a significant impact on the lives of patients
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and perform necessary procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth transition
• Be part of a tight-knit team with strong leadership that offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth

Requirements

• Idaho or multistate RN license (must establish Idaho residency within 6 months if applicable)
• BLS certification
• ACLS and PALS required within designated timelines
