Registered Nurse (RN) | Full Time | Days - Emergency Department

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse at Singing River Health System is a professional who assists patients in achieving, maintaining, and restoring health. This role adheres to the MS Nurse Practice Act, ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.

Education and Licensing

• Graduate from an NLN School of Nursing
• Current unrestricted Mississippi State licensure as a Registered Nurse

Certifications

• All RNs are required to complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• RNs working in certain specialty areas are required to complete and maintain additional certifications as listed.

Experience

• A minimum of one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience, preferred.
• Experience must be within the past five (5) years, or evidence of successful refresher program.

Reports To

Patient Care Manager

Supervision

• LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, Unit Technicians

Physical Demands

• Moderately active: involves sitting with frequent movement
• Erect force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
• Repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers
• Close visual and acuity needed to perform daily work activities
• Must be able to work extended periods without undue fatigue
• Must be able to work various shifts and weekends as needed
