Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization
• Access community resources for patients
• Perform Charge Nurse duties if ACLS certified
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if applicable
• Current BLS certification (AHA approved within 90 days of employment)
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment (AHA approved)
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
