Registered Nurse (RN), Float Pool - Full-Time -Time, Nights

About the role
The Registered Nurse functions as an interactive resource in clinical nursing and professional practice under the leadership of the Manager. Responsibilities include coordinating and performing direct nursing care, serving as a resource, preceptor, mentor, and leader for physicians, peers, and other employees, and providing participative supervision to the Patient Care Team Members in collaboration with the Patient Manager.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates closely with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care and outcomes.
- Demonstrates necessary skills and knowledge to provide complex nursing skills and delegates tasks to other Care Team members according to unit-specific competencies.
- Responsible for monitoring the quality of patient care and patient satisfaction.
- Accurately and independently pursues professional development opportunities.
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring the daily operations of the Patient Care Center are effectively and efficiently maintained.
- Works within accepted service standards and supports the Vision of Ingalls Hospital.
- Partners with other patient care team members to proactively identify and meet individual patient, family, and physician needs, exceeding expectations and employing appropriate customer relations.
- Knows, follows, and actively supports the philosophy, mission, and Vision of Ingalls Hospital.
- Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Observes and adheres to all corporate compliance requirements and communicates issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's (ADN).
- Current RN Licensure from the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation or valid temporary permit to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Acute care or related experience providing nursing care to patients within at least the last five years.

The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected for the position, based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and current market data. Compensation at hire will vary based on candidate qualifications, experience, and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.
