Compensation ranges from $27.84 to $45.46 per hour based on previous work experience, with additional differentials: $2.50/hr for evening shifts, $3.00/hr for night shifts, and $3.00/hr for weekend shifts.

About the Role

Our Emergency Departments operate 24/7, providing stabilization and life-saving care to over 95,000 patients annually. As a Level III trauma center, we handle all medical emergencies, specialize in active strokes and heart attacks, collaborate with two dozen EMS agencies, and work alongside ED physicians, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. We have 45 beds at Norman Regional ED, 12 beds at Norman Regional Nine, and 13 beds at Moore ED.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment/Reassessment: Systematically assess and reassess the healthcare needs of individuals, appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involve patient, family, and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes: Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, involving patient, family, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Implementation and Coordination of Care: Provide nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgment guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions. Assess discharge needs related to the plan of care utilizing available resources.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare field preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training or retraining required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Certification must be maintained throughout employment.
  • New graduates must complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.

7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night shift)
