Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (ED). Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a newly designed, Magnet-accredited ED.
• Serve patients in the Crisis Stabilization Unit, addressing behavioral health needs with compassion.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, efficiency, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN (preferred).
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program may be considered.
• Registered Nursing License (required); students in the process of obtaining licensure may be considered.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• RN experience (strongly preferred).
• 1 year of acute care experience (preferred).
• Previous healthcare experience (preferred).

A new 88-bed, state-of-the-art hospital is under construction as part of the Sentara Albemarle Regional Health Campus, replacing the current 60-year-old facility. The $200 million project reflects our commitment to advancing healthcare in the region.
