About the Role
Located in Farmington, Maine, the Franklin Hospital Emergency Department is designed to meet the needs of the local community as well as visitors who travel to the region year-round. Our team cares for patients of all ages—from newborns to geriatrics—presenting with a wide range of conditions including chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, behavioral health concerns, and other urgent and emergent medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced nurses, providers, and support staff in a fast-paced environment
- Care for a diverse patient population and respond to a variety of medical emergencies
- Utilize assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Collaborate, delegate, and communicate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care
Requirements
- One year of recent RN experience required
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience. For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
