Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (Level I) responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, coordinating interdisciplinary plans, and demonstrating leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring accurate assessments, timely documentation, patient and family education, and safe medication administration.
• Developing and modifying care plans, managing urgent situations, and fostering effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Participating in performance improvement activities, mentoring colleagues, and maintaining professional standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate Degree in Nursing (BS preferred)
• Valid NY RN license
• At least 2 years ED experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Proficiency in data systems and communication
• Ability to assess, problem-solve, and collaborate effectively
• Commitment to excellence, professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and ongoing professional development
• Ensure compliance with policies
• Participate in unit initiatives
• Uphold the standards of nursing practice to deliver high-quality patient care
