Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (ED) with Level I trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care through interdisciplinary plans, ensuring documentation and adherence to standards.
• Assess patient health, initiate discharge plans, and document responses to care and teaching needs.
• Apply critical thinking to problem-solving, identify risks, and modify care plans accordingly.
• Provide direct, patient-focused care using evidence-based practices, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, respecting cultural diversity and patient rights.
• Participate in mentorship, professional development, and unit-based quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with policies, maintain licensure and certifications, and uphold standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Valid New York State RN license and current registration.
• Minimum two years of RN experience in the ED.
• Proficiency in data systems, effective communication skills, and completion of required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
• Ability to perform basic data entry, retrieve information, and respond to urgent situations.
