Registered Nurse (RN) - ED

About the role

Located in Lexington, KY, this full-time third‑shift position in the Emergency Department provides 24‑hour emergency care to patients with urgent medical needs.

The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of patients’ needs
• Development of patient care plan(s)
• Provision of direct care
• Management of patient care delivery
• Demonstration of leadership skills
• Support for quality care
• Customer relations and healing environment

Requirements

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; if not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire date
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment
