Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to multiple patients at once, starting their shifts at 4 AM. They prepare and test equipment, review treatment sheets, and assist in opening clinics. The role requires strong management skills and prior direct patient care experience.
Dialysis nurses at Fresenius Medical Care provide dialysis care to 10-12 patients at a time, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to tailor care plans. They are responsible for administering and assessing treatment plans, working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Previous dialysis nursing experience is helpful, but critical care nursing experience is also considered valuable.
Inpatient RNs at Fresenius Medical Care administer and assess dialysis treatments in hospital settings such as ICU, ER, Rehab, and Med/Surg units. They enjoy high levels of autonomy and work with diverse patient populations, requiring strong leadership and decision-making skills. Six months to one year of dialysis experience or critical care nursing experience is required.
