Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Surgery
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Surgery position at Aurora Medical Center Grafton is a Full-time opportunity with a 32-hour work week. The role is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in the Same Day Surgery department, operating 4 out of 6 observed holidays annually and no weekend rotations.

Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or within 6 months of hire
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or within 6 months of hire
Skills
Previous related Day Surgery, Surgical or Procedural experience is highly preferred.

Pay
$38.20 – $57.30 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Four 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday/week. No weekends. Shift start times vary 0530-1100. Monthly schedule will have a mix of each of the start times.
Where You Will Work
The Same Day Surgery department located on the 2nd floor OR surgery services area, serves surgical patients pre and post operatively with 23 flexible beds. The department operates varying shifts from early morning to evening, with employees working 4 out of 6 observed holidays annually and no weekend rotations. Scheduling is self-managed, planned 4 to 8 weeks ahead, including assigned rotating Friday evenings and holidays. Orientation lasts 6-8 weeks for RNs.
