Registered Nurse (RN), Day Shift, Cardiac Cath Lab

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiac Cath Lab who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care while advancing your own knowledge and skills through feedback and guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
• Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist HealthCare values.
• Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence-based practice changes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Schedule

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Hours per Week: 40 hours per week (4x10-hour shifts)
• Typical Daily Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thurs, Friday 6:00am-4:30pm
• Shift Type: Day
• Weekend Requirements: Required, every other weekend rotation
• Holiday Requirements: Required to follow company holiday calendar
• On-Call: Yes
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay

Pay Range: $37.00 - $55.00 per hour
