About the role

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. Responsibilities

• A data collection process that is systematic, includes psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and other factors and is ongoing, determined by the patient’s immediate condition or needs, and involves the patient, family, significant others, and health care providers when appropriate.
• Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and plan of care.
• Develops and contributes to a written plan of care to meet patient’s subtle as well as obvious nursing needs.
• Implements the plan of care to attain expected outcomes.
• Evaluates the patient’s outcomes. Evaluation is systematic and ongoing, is determined by the patient’s responses to the interventions, which are documented in the medical record.
• Sytematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in planning and delivering patient care as a professional work responsibility.
• Identifies, develops and implements an action plan for self-development/professional growth.
• Identifies subtle as well as obvious patient problems and reports to an appropriate resource person.
• Addresses the age specific needs of all populations served: adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience

• 1 Year of Cath Lab, Vascular Lab and / or EP Lab experience preferred.
• 2 Years of Critical Care / ICU experience preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record System such as EPIC.
• Education/Licensure/Certification: Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License, Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Card (BLS), Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Care (ACLS).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Specialty Certification preferred.

Pay

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
