Registered Nurse (RN) Child/Adolescent Involuntary Psych Per Diem Day

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Understand and address the needs of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient needs.
• Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager.

Requirements

• ASN or Nursing Diploma from an accredited Nursing Program.
• BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider certification.
• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital experience.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience working in an involuntary or voluntary unit for a child patient population.

Qualifications

• Preferred: BSN.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $49.28 - $66.05 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

• Monday – Friday, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
