Registered Nurse (RN) - Central Staffing Float Pool
About the Role
Join the Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) Central Staffing Float Pool as a Registered Nurse (RN) and provide relief staffing resources to care teams in our Care Centers, Assisted Living, and Transitional Care communities. This role offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to work in different care settings while supporting older adults.
- Work primarily PM or NOC shifts as an on-call RN
- Travel to a variety of PHS locations (willingness to drive up to 30 miles from your home required)
- Set your own schedule within program requirements
- Gain experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, and Transitional Care settings
- Earn a base rate based on experience, with shift differentials for PM and NOC shifts, plus a $60 float pool bonus per shift
Schedules are built about a pay period in advance based on community needs and your availability, with potential changes as needed.
- Full-Time Central Staffing employees: Agree to work 2 weekend shifts per month
- On-Call Central Staffing employees: Agree to work a minimum of 5 shifts per month, including 1 weekend shift
Responsibilities
The Central Staffing Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and monitoring high-quality clinical care and services to residents in accordance with regulations and established best practices. You will provide vital staffing support to nursing care teams across various PHS communities.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure with the State Board of Nursing in the state(s) where you practice
- Minimum of six (6) months of prior experience in a healthcare setting
- Current CPR certification
- Able and willing to travel to communities within a 30-mile radius of your home
- Interest in gerontological nursing, rehabilitative, and restorative clinical practices
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, dependability, and adaptability to scheduling and staffing needs
- Compatibility with PHS’s mission and operating philosophies
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate effectively with all customers
- Full-Time: Available to work a minimum of 60 hours per two-week pay period, with a regular and predictable schedule, and flexibility to adapt to changing staffing needs
- On-Call: Able to work a minimum of 5 shifts per month, including one weekend shift
Pay
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $39.25 - $43.00 per hour. The actual pay depends on individual qualifications and market conditions.
