Registered Nurse, (RN) - CCU

About the role

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse, RN to join our CCU team. The position is PRN nights and requires a current state RN license and an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include Basic Life Support certification, ACLS and PALS certifications, and ASLS certification preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply and will be supported through our 1 year residency program.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
