RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Behavioral Health Units at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area, and newly expanded Emergency Department.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma (Required)
• BSN (Preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Prior experience with the psychiatric population (Preferred)

Certifications and Licenses

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• BLS from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice, including awareness of hazardous environments and reporting medical errors.
• Understand and address the needs of the patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs.
• Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager.
• Responsible for advancing knowledge of self and others on the patient care team through communication and utilization of available resources.

Schedule

• Night Shift, 37.5 hours per week
• Full Time
• Monday – Friday, with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Includes 3 weekday shifts and 2 weekend shifts per month
• Must work 2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays per year

Pay

$47.62 - $63.73 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
