About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the behavioral health unit, ensuring safe patient care, staff management, and adherence to strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing staff, delegating shift duties and responding effectively to emergencies and staffing changes.
- Promote a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
- Support staff development through ongoing assessment and education.
- Monitor and improve patient care quality via unit-based quality programs and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clinical competency tailored to the patient population's needs.
- Perform related administrative and clinical duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's degree in Nursing and valid Multi-State RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 7 days of hire and CPI certification during orientation.
- Flexibility, leadership ability, and experience in acute care or similar settings preferred.
