Atrium Health Floyd Behavioral Health is a 53-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital offering inpatient and outpatient services for adults 18 and older. A specialized unit serves the 60 and above population. Common diagnoses include:

  • Anxiety Disorder
  • Mood Disorders
  • Psychotic Disorders
  • Substance Use Disorders
  • Personality Disorders

The Atrium Health Floyd family of health care services is a leading medical provider and economic force in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. It is part of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit health system in the United States, created from the combination of Atrium Health and Advocate Aurora Health. Atrium Health Floyd also operates a stand-alone emergency department in Chattooga County, the first such facility built from the ground-up in Georgia.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include:

  • Using evidence-based practice and clinical decision making
  • Demonstrating compassion and skilled communication
  • Leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
