• Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments.
• Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, clean wounds, and monitors vital signs.

Patient Education/Resources

• Provides patient education/resources.

Patient Procedures

• Performs patient procedures as directed by the physician.

Exam Room Readiness

• Ensures exam rooms are prepared for patient visits.

Prescription Renewal Process

• Processes prescription renewals as needed.

Equipment Availability and Effectiveness

• Maintains knowledge of equipment availability and effectiveness.

Pre-certification/Authorization Effectiveness

• Evaluates pre-certification/authorization processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

Effective Telephone Triage

• Utilizes the IDX system for effective telephone triage.

HIPPA/Regulatory Compliance

• Maintains compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Team Effectiveness

• Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.

Other Duties as Assigned

• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of nursing, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of equipment, sterilization techniques, and treatment procedures.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read charts to ensure lab tests and reports are included for physician review.
• Medical assessment skills.
• Knowledge of IDX system - Scheduling / Registration.
