About the role

Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring for a (shift type) Registered Nurse (RN) for (department/unit) in Brockton, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient health data, analyzes it to determine nursing diagnoses, and identifies individualized outcomes.
  • Develops and implements a plan of care that includes interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Evaluates patient progress and documents it in the medical record.
  • Administers prescribed medication and intravenous solutions safely.
  • Reports significant patient condition changes to the physician.
  • Counsels and educates patients and their families according to the overall plan of care.
  • Supports patients and families during stressful times, offering solace and support to the dying.
  • Safely provides nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Reflects on current professional practice standards, laws, regulations, and changes in health care delivery.
  • Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in patient care.
  • Collaborates with the team, including patients, family members, and healthcare providers, in providing patient care.
  • Uses clinical inquiry in practice.
  • Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion.
  • Two to five years of nursing experience in a Cath Lab setting.
  • Call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Experience with Meditech software.

  • Knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, regulations, and changes in healthcare delivery.
  • Ability to reflect on and improve nursing practice.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the team, including patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and effective patient care.
  • Ability to evaluate and document patient progress accurately.
