Registered Nurse - RN

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee other licensed and non-licensed staff in the day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Monitor and assess patients for withdrawal symptoms using appropriate tools (e.g., CIWA, COWS), and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Prepare and review medical records, nurses’ notes to evaluate the resident’s physical and emotional status.
• Oversee LVN staff on duty and audit/review charts daily
• Provide nursing care according to the Physician’s orders, care plans, established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and pass medications in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
• Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping, and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Provide outstanding individualized resident care.
• Ensure medication orders are up-to-date and accurate
• Audits charts weekly for compliance

Qualifications

• Education Requirements: Current Registered Nursing (RN) License in Texas required. Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University Preferred
• Job Requirements: Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, valid Driver’s License, expert communication skills and counseling abilities, ability to coordinate with professionals from diverse backgrounds, commitment to the philosophy of recovery and continuity of the program, customer service oriented, professional attitude, current TB Test, CPR/First Aid
