Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role

Kauai Care Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located conveniently in Waimea on the west side of Kauai Island. The facility collaborates with residents, their families, and medical providers to support recovery and promote faster recovery so residents can return home sooner.

Responsibilities

• Medication assistance/administration
• Nursing services
• Training / supervising staff
• All things related to resident well-being
• Train staff and assist the director of nursing
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
• Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living (ADLs), environmental orientation, assistance or administration with medication, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence, as permitted by state regulations
• Ensure care as indicated on resident treatment and service plans
• Know and follow infection control and safety procedures
• Review, update and communicate resident care documentation
• Evaluate health emergencies to determine medical measures per RN scope of practice and state regulations

Requirements

You must have a valid Hawaii Nursing License.

Qualifications

You currently possess a current RN license in good standing. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

Pay

New Wage Scale - $45.00 - $49.00 DOE

Schedule

Must be available for weekend rotation.
