Job Description
Registered Nurse-Urology (RN)
- Location: Brooklyn, NY
- Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour shifts, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
In This Role, You Will
- Administer androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and testosterone injections in accordance with provider orders and established protocols.
- Perform bladder instillations and assist with percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) treatments.
- Perform suprapubic and Foley catheter changes and related catheter care.
- Assist with office base procedures during the pre, intra, and post op phases. Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient phone calls, including education, instruction, and follow-up.
- Manage provider inbox messages and complete timely patient call-backs and clinical triage.
- Support provider workflows and assist with day-to-day clinical operations as needed.
- Participate in on-site training and contribute to the orientation and training of staff.
- Document all care, treatments, and patient communications accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.
We Require
- A Valid New York State RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with an EMR (preferred).
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching.
- Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs.
